How to make a digital postcard

  1. 1

    Choose your moment

Pick a photo from your library, or use the camera with your device’s permission. A portrait or wide layout makes room for the picture you love.

  2. 2

    Write the other side

Add a personal message, with optional city, date, To and From details. Flip the card to see both sides, then choose Keep postcard.

  3. 3

    Save it. Send it.

Open your kept card and share or save a GIF, video or two photo sides. Video depends on device support; GIF and photos offer alternatives.

Before you make yours.

Can I send a digital postcard on WhatsApp?

Export your card as a video, GIF or two photo sides, then attach the saved file in WhatsApp or another app. The formats an app accepts and how it plays them can vary. Two photo sides let the recipient read your message without opening Backpack Troops.

Is this a printed postcard service?

No. You create a digital keepsake. You can also export a PDF and print it yourself; Backpack Troops does not print or post physical cards.

Can I make a postcard without AI or an account?

Yes. Choosing a photo, writing your own message, keeping a card and exporting it do not require an account or credits. Optional AI writing help requires sign-in and shows the credit cost before each caption. New accounts receive 5 free credits.

Will my postcard stay after I close the app?

Choose Keep postcard to save it in the current library on this device. Saved memories do not sync between devices, even after sign-in. Export a copy before clearing browser data or uninstalling the app.
